Photographing Tips
To commission a portrait of your pet I require several good quality photographs, it is important that the photographs you send are as clear as possible, I can then paint as much detail as possible.
Below I have put together a few useful tips on photographing your pet:
Photograph your pet outdoors as this will capture the true colours of your pet.
Try to photograph with the light behind you.
Photograph your pet at the same eye level.
Fill the viewfinder if possible with just head and shoulders.
Avoid using the flash on your camera as this can alter the true colours of your pet.
Finally, take as many photographs as you can.
The better the photograph the better the painting.
If using digital format I can accept photographs by e-mail, if sending 35mm photographs by post I recommend using royal mail special delivery service.
All photographs will be returned with the finished portrait.
